NU Type Cylindrical Roller Bearings
- Inner Ring Ribs: None
- Outer Ring Ribs: Two
Here, the outer ring guides the rollers axially, while the inner ring can shift axially at either end. Like the N type, NU bearings allow unlimited axial displacement but do not carry thrust loads. They’re commonly used on the free end of shafts in gearboxes, electric motors, and pumps to let the shaft expand or contract without generating axial stress.
