1. What products does Transpower Drives supply?
- Transpower Drives supplies a wide range of drive belts, V‑belts, timing belts, pulleys, taper‑lock bushes, bearings, oil seals, O‑rings, Jubilee® clips, pneumatic tubing, and general engineering consumables. We stock both metric and imperial sizes, with thousands of items available for same‑day collection in Wellingborough.
2. How do I identify the correct drive belt size?
- To identify the correct belt, measure the outside length, top width, and belt profile (e.g., A‑section, B‑section, SPA, SPB). If the belt is broken or worn, bring it to our Wellingborough counter, or send us a photo — we’ll match it for you. We help customers daily with belt identification and replacements.
3. Do you stock V‑belts, timing belts, and ribbed belts?
- Yes. We hold large stocks of V‑belts, cogged belts, timing belts (HTD, AT, T‑series), and poly‑V belts. Most common sizes are available off the shelf, and we can source specialist belts quickly for customers across Northamptonshire and the UK.
4. What is the difference between A‑section, B‑section, SPA and SPB belts?
- A‑ and B‑section belts are imperial classical belts, while SPA and SPB are metric wedge belts. Wedge belts transmit more power in a smaller space. If you’re unsure which belt you need, our team can identify the correct belt from a photo, a measurement, or a sample.
5. Do you supply taper‑lock pulleys and bushes?
- Yes. We stock a full range of taper‑lock pulleys, pilot‑bore pulleys, and taper‑lock bushes (1008–5050 sizes). These are available for same‑day collection in Wellingborough or next‑day UK delivery.
6. Can you help identify a bearing or oil seal?
- Absolutely. Bring the bearing or seal to our counter, or send us the code, dimensions, or a clear photo. We supply deep groove bearings, UCFL/UCFC housings, needle bearings, oil seals, Viton seals, and more.
7. Do you supply Viton, NBR, and food‑grade seals?
- Yes. We stock NBR (nitrile) seals for general use, Viton for high‑temperature and chemical applications, and food‑grade options for hygienic environments. If you’re unsure which material you need, we’ll advise based on your application.
8. Do you deliver locally and nationally?
- We offer local delivery across Northamptonshire and next‑day delivery across the UK. Urgent engineering breakdowns are prioritised — call us and we’ll get parts out quickly.
