Metric Shaft Collars
Shaft collars are engineered to grip the shaft using one of two mechanisms:
- Set‑screw shaft collars These tighten directly onto the shaft using a hardened screw, creating a secure, fixed position.
- Split (clamping) shaft collars These wrap around the shaft and tighten evenly using multiple screws. This design provides strong holding power without damaging the shaft surface and offers easier installation and adjustment.
Both types ensure precise positioning of components and prevent movement under load, vibration, or rotational forces.
