NUP Type Cylindrical Roller Bearings
- Inner Ring Ribs: One plus removable locating ring
- Outer Ring Ribs: Two
The locating ring (sometimes called a snap ring) on the inner ring adds the ability to carry axial loads in both directions. Axial displacement is still limited, but the bearing can handle moderate thrust loads back and forth. NUP bearings are often chosen when a single bearing must both locate the shaft axially and accommodate thermal expansion.
