NUP Type Cylindrical Roller Bearings

Inner Ring Ribs: Two (one fixed, one loose) Outer Ring Ribs: Two

NUP-type cylindrical roller bearings are designed to support high radial loads while also providing limited axial load capability in both directions. The inner ring features one fixed rib and one loose rib (washer), allowing the bearing to locate the shaft axially while still running with low friction. This makes NUP bearings ideal for applications requiring combined radial load support and positive axial location, such as gearboxes, compressors, pumps, industrial motors and precision engineering assemblies.

Because NUP bearings are less common than N, NU or NJ types, they are often used in specialist machinery where accurate shaft positioning is essential. Their ability to carry axial load in both directions makes them a reliable locating bearing on the fixed end of a shaft.
